Camping at Edna Creek

We went camping above Idaho City with the Burton side of the family. It was just one night but packed full of good times! It was a quick drive up there and a great spot for the first of 3 camp outs. We were able to think of a lot of things we forgot or would like to have for the next ones. :) The kids had a blast and made friends with a some kids from another campsite. They went hiking with Grandpa and played in a little creek. Enjoy!

Here we are settling in...
Carl is excited for our tin foil dinners. YUMM!!

Does this picture need a comment? What a cutie!

All the kids diggin' in-
(Sydney was the only one who heard me say "say cheese"..)

Serious conversation after dinner. :)

The night wouldn't have been complete without marshmallows!!

Sweet sticky marshmallow kisses!!

Gotcha dad!

The goal of the night.
Randon sawed this log for a good 20-30 minutes or longer. It became a pride thing to get a chunk of this log off and into the fire. (Bree and Sydney watched intently.)

Joe and Spencer sat on the log to help hold it still and keep it from rolling. Mom thought it looked like they needed to use the bathroom..hehe..

Then they tried to jump on the end. I tell ya,they were determined!

Then buffed Spencer decided to use it brute strength and throw it on the point of a rock since it was sawed most of the way through. This is an action shot of the log on its bounce back up after he threw it down. I like the smile on Joe's face. And Spencer has great form. It looks like a good bowling stance.

The next throw-feel the POWER!!!

IT BROKE!!
Look at the pure satisfaction on the boys faces!!

A victory hug from Sydney...

After all that excitement it was time for bed.

Spencer is taking out his contacts and Sydney is all snuggled in.
Good morning!
I love rocks!
The breakfast cook-Pancakes, eggs, and meat. It was scrumptious!

The next 9 pictures are of the cutest little ladies. They have decided to be best friends and played so cute together.
Here is Bree and Sydney!
Carl was such a gentleman.

Our tent fell down in the night.
Just kidding. Spencer was getting everything ready to go while Preston was napping. So he graciously left his part of the tent up a little but took out the rest to get packed as much as he could. Sydney was so worried and crying cause she thought he was going to roll up Preston in the tent bag and forget him. What a sweet sister.
Preston woke to find his world crashing down around him. Don't worry, we got him out.
The hot dog cook. They were so good. They tasted like hot dogs!
Mmmm..some satisfied eaters.
A picture with me,yours truly,in it. I was there and it was a blast!
