Creepy Critters

This is a moth as big as Sydney's hand!

This,thing, makes such an incredibly loud noise. Think of the loudest blow horn mixed with a fire alarm and you have this bugs mating call. Its as big as my finger-I would have posted the picture but it was really blurry.

OK.This picture doesn't do justice.And i didn't dare put my hand close to give you a reference-call my crazy-i know i should have-it would have helped you believe me when i say its like 5" in diameter.

This grasshopper,who Sydney named Daddy,wished me "good morning" this morning.

He was very generous to pose for these pictures,he even moved into the sun for us to see his colors better.

Sydney really liked him. She has come along way from being scared of bugs to now embracing them-or should i say stomping on them. :)
