This afternoon was pretty exciting!
Preston and I went out shopping for Sydney's birthday presents,
(which is tomorrow =) )
and we stopped by Spencer's office to pick him up for lunch.
When we arrived up our hill to the front entrance gate there was
a line of cars, police cars, and police motorcycles in the way.
Our security guard guy was breathing heavily, shaking out his arms,
and pacing around like he was a bit shaken up...Not really talking to
any of these cars lined up to get into our building complex...
And then a police car came zooming out from our complex
and went the other way around the buildings instead of down the hill our way..
Here is our entrance...

Apparently there were some robbers that were running away from
the cops and fled up the hill to our complex area. They somehow tried to
rob our security guard while fleeing. They took his cell phone and
tried to get his gun. Some people say they tried to take his paycheck too...?
Anyhow, they got one guy before he got into our social area.
You can see him laying behind the little building on the ground...
in the parking garage. We took it when we were finally let into the complex.
After this we went up to our apartment. Spencer came back down to
try and get the whole story. He said when he came back they
had this guy on the grassy patch and he was crying.
stories. So when Spencer asked around it was something different
from everyone. Some person said there had been gun shots. But this
other lady, who was laying out at the pool, said she didn't hear any gun shots.
She said that all of a sudden there were cops running around with
pistols drawn and she was freaked out...
So who knows-the only thing that makes sense is it was 2 guys running from the cops.
I like to think our security guy took him out with some awesome
moves he got from watching luchadors!
(NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo)
It basically comes down to dumb criminals,
in broad daylight, trying to rob somebody, in an area
filled with security and cops.
Our maid Doris says that it's the "new thing" to try and rob
security guards for their guns. She also says that if they do attack
armed security enforcement they get beat up with the baton sticks.
And then they get 7-8 years in jail. That's why the guy was crying.
She also mentioned they might beat the guy with the batons anyway so he will
tell them where his buddy is...hehe...
Well, it was fun while it lasted...sigh...
Glad they got "the bad guy!"
